The Secret Weapon to Boosting Your Instagram Engagement


Boosting your engagement. The topic everyone wants to know more about. Can you blame us?⁣

With the  algorithm constantly changing, we have to play to our strengths. By our strengths, I mean where social media trends are headed, aka video – more specifically, Instagram stories!⁣

By posting to Instagram Stories more often you have a better chance of appearing at the top of the stories feed on a follower’s homepage which gives you several chances throughout the day to be seen!⁣⁣

Let’s chat some ways you can use stories like a pro 👇🏼⁣⁣⁣

1️⃣ Captivate your audience with animations by using an app like Mojo. This is my NEW favorite tool for IG stories and has boosted my engagement rate on stories like crazy! Plus, it’s free – woo! ⁣⁣

2️⃣ Add text to EVERY video you post. This will AUTOMATICALLY increase your retention rate because some people can’t listen with volume or just don’t want to. Instead of them being forced to skip what you’re saying, the text explains what you’re talking about and holds their attention and interest.⁣

  • BONUS: Use an app like @clipomatic which uses voice recognition to add subtitles to your videos in real time! It’s AMAZE! ⁣

3️⃣ Use all your sticker options! I’m talking question boxes, GIFS, polls, quizzes, countdowns, ERRTHANG. Bring em’ allllll out. Stickers get your audience more involved in what you’re talking about and make the conversation a two-way street!⁣⁣

4️⃣ Add hashtags and locations tags to get in front of new audiences. Just like you geotag and add hashtags to your posts, you can now do that with stories and you SHOULD be! Whenever I use hashtags in my stories, however, I like to hide them by making them the same color as my background or putting a pic on top of them so they don’t look messy and distracting! ⁣⁣
