Alright, let’s break down the nitty gritty basics of content bathing by answering some of my most FAQ’s! As your Biz Coach Bestie, it’s my job to prove to you WHY tips like this make it easier for you to reach your biz goals and monetize your influence.
👉🏼 What IS content batching?
In short, content batching is when you take an uninterrupted, dedicated amount of time to shoot, prep, or write content so you’re prepared for posting in advance and not scrambling at the last minute to get something on the gram!
👉🏼 Does it really work?
YES. If you feel like you lack inspiration to post or like you’re struggling to stay consistent with maintaining a high quality feed – then batching your content is going to be your new best friend. It is THE ONLY way I am able to post 4-5 times a week consistently without major overwhelm.
👉🏼 How far in advance do you plan/have content?
In order to effectively batch your content, you have to know how much content you need on a monthly basis.
I always plan for the MAX amount of content I may need because I would rather have too much content than too little to work with!
Since I could post up to 5 times a week, and with there being 4 weeks in a month, I know I will need 20 photos each month (5×4=20) to stay consistent on IG.
Therefore, I try and ALWAYS stay at least a month ahead with my photos so I’m never scrambling at the last minute to get a shot!
👉🏼 Do you usually plan out certain days every month to shoot content?
Honestly, I don’t! It’s usually just whenever Faith and I’s schedules align and we both have a totally free day to focus on shooting! Since we’re roommates/friends/both work from home, it’s also a bit of a different dynamic than usual, so I would highly suggest finding a photographer that you’re able to shoot with (for example) every other Friday each month!
👉🏼 How long does it take you to shoot a batch of content?
I aim to shoot at least 5 looks every time I work with @faithdaniellephoto and that usually takes 1-2 hours (except occasional Summer shoots when it’s 100 degrees out and I feel like I might die). This means we usually have about 4 shoots together a month.
👉🏼 Do you plan your stories too?
Not usually because I like to keep them more off the cuff and in the moment, but sometimes (like today) I will make notes of points I would like to mention in correlation to my post for the day so I can give you more advice and tips!
