Lately I’ve been really working on having more movement in my photos and showcasing more of an editorial and magazine feel. I felt like my pictures and outfits were good (my photographer is Vogue status, I’m so blessed) but they could get so much better!
This look is a big break from what I’ve been prone to do. For this shoot I was constantly moving and just trying different poses even if in my head I thought they might look weird. The ones I thought looked “weird” turned out to be some of my favorite shots! With blogging and modeling I’m learning more and more to step out of my comfort zone (while still maintaining my beliefs and values- can’t be getting too saucy here ladies haha) with new outfits or poses to get the ultimate look I want.
What I love most about this look, truly, is the magazine/editorial feel. It’s got a very “New York City/ Los Angeles Vibe” that I’m totally diggin. The button down was actually a large because it was the last size left. When you see an outfit in your head though and the perfect piece to make it happen, you gotta do what you gotta do! The crop top was a good way to still accentuate my waist and not make the shirt look too baggy while maintaining the length and flow.
My leather pants from Express were a great fit for this look. They gave the pastels some edge and luckily they’re not too hot for the Florida heat! I’d been wanting to do a look with a jacket as well, so I grabbed a satin grey bomber from HM to add another layer. Last but not least, I threw on my lavender cat eye sunnies and leather platform sneakers to tie it all together.
Let me know what you think of this look in the comments below, I’d love to hear your thoughts! Have a wonderful rest of the weekend beauties!
