Okay, I’m not going to lie. I definitely felt like a bird in this fringe jacket. Ha! In the best, most high-fashion way possible though. Plus, behind this jacket is one of the most adventurous and fun stories I’ve yet to share.
So the day that Sydney drove to St. Pete to hang out with me, I already had this outfit on (minus the jacket) that we were planning to shoot. In the midst of us deciding though and thinking about where to go (and where to eat, ha) I mentioned that I would love to stop into a nearby boutique and check out their clothes. While in there looking at their collection, Sydney and I are both like, “why don’t we ask them if we can shoot some of these pieces. Like now.” I was ALL over the idea.
I asked one of the ladies working there if the owner or manager was around so I could talk to her. It just so happened that the owner was in the back doing some painting. She came out to chat with us, I pitched her my idea, and on the spot she agreed! Syd and I were so pumped.
So I pulled about 7 things I loved and went to try them on in the dressing room. We ended up finding 4 pieces that we were both totally obsessed over and one by one went out to shoot them!
This jacket was one of the first things that I fell in love with and I really feel like it completed my outfit. What do you think?!
Moral of the story, never be afraid to just pitch ideas or throw crazy ones out there. Even on the spot. You truly never know until you ask!
P.S. HUGE thank you to @misenchic for believing in my vision and allowing me to make it come to life! You ladies are the best!
